Description:
The overall objective of this assignment is to strengthen theclimate resilience and DRM capacities of Bolivian national government agenciesto better manage its road network, and plan, design, and implement climateresilient investment plans for the transport sector. This will be achievedmainly through developing a series of Technical Notes and conducting capacitybuilding activities.The specific objectives of the assignment are:Tocompile best and state-of-the-art practices on promoting DRM and climateresilience in the transport sector with emphasis on highways,Todevelop a compendium of information on key natural hazards experienced inBolivia affecting the road sector and a justification for investing in DRM andclimate resilience,Toreview existing hydrological models that take into account climate change orother relevant models for Bolivia and assess their applicability,Toreview the Road Asset Management Systems existing in the country and makerecommendations,Toconduct a review of procedures associated with DRM and climate resilience inthe transport sector and make recommendations, andToprovide capacity building opportunities to the road agencies in the country.
